Area overlay

Accessibility

  • Root: role="group" with a visually hidden regionLabel.
  • Error: shipped Alert at Error severity (role="alert").
  • While active, children are inert; focus is not trapped elsewhere on the page.
  • No dismiss control; the host clears active when the condition ends.
